Based on a published report for Oxford University Press, this presentation explores the challenges refugees face in learning a new language and highlights the need for tailored, context-specific
teaching methods. The speaker will discuss strategies for empowering refugee learners to take charge of their progress, even amidst frequent resettlement, and introduce a practical toolkit designed to support educators with resources for effective and reflective teaching.
